So this is my second give away, to finish off my PIF.

I made a pincushion - have I mentioned that I love pincushions? I have quite a lot of them myself, but one can never has enough of them...- and a little bag (12"x14" approximatly). The front of the bag started in fact as a little paper foundation quilt, but I enjoyed making it so much, that I decided to do a bag of it... The back of the bag is 4 strips of fabric, quilted with sea motifs, like starfish, waves, shells. And the inside is one of my precious Aussie fabrics, with... fish! What else... :-) I love both of them, and hope that someone will find them desirable.

Szóval itt van a második ajándékozásom, a PIF befejezéseként. Készítettem egy tűpárnát - említettem már, hogy imádom a tűpárnákat? nekem elég sok van, de szerintem soha nem lehet túl sok belőlük - és egy kis táskát, 30cmx35cm-es kb. A táska eleje papír technikás mini quiltnek indult, de annyira élveztem a varrást, hogy táska lett belőle. A hátulja 4 csík, tengeri motívumokkal steppelve, tengeri csillag, kagyló, hullámok. A belseje pedig az egyik kedvenc ausztrál anyagom, halakkal, mi mással. Én mindkettőt imádom, remélem, másoknak is tetszeni fognak. Szóval, szeretné valaki őket? Quilt festival

There is an Online Quilt Festival organised by Park City Girl, and I am entering with the above quilt.

This is my favourite quilt. I made it while living in Sydney, from the Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine. It took me 3 months to finish it, February-April 1996. Most of the quilt is done by hand, I used Heat and Bond to fix the little bits to the background, then used blanket stitch to sew them on. The fabrics are from all over the globe, pieces I found as old samples from Hungary in the office, pieces I bought in India and Sydney, pieces I got from my friends in the quilting bee I used to go to in Coogee. It is tied in the corners and quilted around the figures. It is hanging in the landing and I still stop to adore it every time I pass it.

Ez a kedvenc quiltem. Még Sydney-ben készítettem, az Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazinból. 3 hónapig dolgoztam rajta, 1996 február-április között. A takaró nagy része kézzel készült, fátyolragasztót használtam a hátérre rögzítéshez, majd pelenkaöltéssel varrtam körbe a darabokat. Az anyagok a világ minden részéről valók, vannak benne olyanok, amiket az irodában találtam magyar cég mintadarabjaként, van, amit Indiában vettem, van, amit Sydney-ben és van, amit a foltvarró körben kaptam a barátaimtól, ahova anno jártam Coogee-ban. A sarkokban kötöztem, a figurák körül steppeltem. A lépcsőfordulónkat díszíti, és a mai napig minden alkalommal megcsodálom, ha arra járok.

I did the drawing fully by hand, nothing fancy like random number system and alikes, just 4 little pieces of paper with the names, a bowl of my daughter's play kitchen and me. In absence of more participants for my PIF, I am going to host 2 give aways, to find 2 people to give some presents to, to fulfill my obligation of presenting 3 people :-)
I made a little pincushion and a small quilt with a Japanese girl. It is a paper foundation quilt and as I have 3 of them in my sewing room, and love them dearly, I thought maybe someone else will love this one too.

My presents from far away Down Under Tasmania

I have received my presents from Auntie's Quaint Quilts. They are really really sweet, even better in real life than in the picture in her blog. Just look at the fine stiching on the pincushion, and the little tin was not just a tin! it is a small sewing kit! and the fabric with the beautiful flowers smells of fragnant cinnamon.
They have pride of place on my desk and I am showing them to anyone who comes in our house :-)

Megkaptam az ajándékaimat Auntie's Quaint Quilts- től. Nagyon-nagyon helyesek, még szebbek életben, mint a képeken. Nézzétek csak meg a finom hímzést a tűpárnán, és a fémdoboz nem csak doboz volt ám! hanem egy kis varrókészlet! a virágos anyag pedig finom fahéj illatot áraszt.
Az asztalom fő helyét foglalja el, és mindenkinek meg kell csodálnia, aki bejön hozzánk :-)
