Just a picture of the materials I am using for my Stitchers' Angel project for someone :-)

August finish - in the last minutes
We have returned to our real life in the city. It is good and sad, at the same time. Sad, because it means summer is officially over, and good, because home is home and the kiddos are returning to their respective schools and kindergarten and I will have some peace during the mornings (and miss them of course - a little bit, maybe) :-)
I spent the whole of last week doing the laundry - still not finished...-, cleaning, unpacking, buying school supplies, inviting friends for the kids to reconnect with them, and sewing, of course. I made a bag for my Mum's nameday coming up in a couple of weeks. She loved my patchwork bag so much at the lake that I decided to make one for her. I even made a little inside pocket, of which I am enormously proud! :-) And I love the whole bag, of course.
I used the disappearing nine patch block again, and as I could not decide on which combination of blocks I preferred, I used both of them, on the different sides of the bag. I also stipple quilted it with different colours, one side is quilted in pink, the other in green.
Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I will replace them with better ones later.

Give away and a quick note
I am still in the lake house, for the last days of summer, leaving for our city home on Monday. My only comfort is that there I will have time and place to sew, so I would love to win GreenFairy Quilts' giveaway to have something beautiful to sew with!
And I will start making my little surprises for my Angel partner in the Stitchers' Angel Swap, I can hardly wait!
Of the other things like organizing everything for the new school year for my kids, starting to work at home if I am lucky, and getting up at dawn instead of getting up at 9, etc etc, lets just not talk about for on these last golden summer days...

The bathroom
The reason for the break was that we spent 9 days in Transylvania, at the foot of the hills in a little wooden cabin with our friends and family. We saw beautiful places, went on several walks, shorter and longer ones, depending on the mood of our 4-year-old, who did her best and behaved like a real grownup girl during the whole time - even on the 13-hour-car-trip there, and the 11-hour-trip home. This part of Transylvania used to belong to Hungary, so everyone were speaking Hungarian, thus it was a bit funny as we were trying to explain the meaning of 'being abroad' to our littlest one starting with "you know darling abroad means that people speak a different language from us" :-)
A small selection of our travel pictures follows to show you what a great place Transylvania was and to prove that Count Dracula is definately not its' only attraction :-). (but the first house in this picture is said to have belonged to Count Dracula's father...)
